AUTISM ASSESSMENTS Roehampton

We offer Gold-Standard Autism assessments in Roehampton

for children, adolescents, and adults. Our evidence-based ASC assessments follow NICE guidelines and provide accurate, reliable diagnoses recognised across the UK.

Autism is a lifelong condition, and understanding it properly makes a significant difference to how a person navigates education, work, relationships, and daily life. For some, the path to assessment begins in childhood, prompted by concerns at school or at home. For others, it begins much later, when a pattern of experiences finally points toward an explanation that has never been considered before. Wherever you are in that journey, a thorough, evidence-based assessment is the foundation everything else is built on.

Why chOOSE our AUTISM assessmentS?

At Sage Psychology, our autism assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians who specialise in ASC across all ages. We use a structured, multi-disciplinary approach that meets national clinical standards, taking care to understand each individual fully before reaching any conclusions. Our focus is on accuracy, thoroughness, and producing outcomes that are genuinely useful to the people we assess.

What Makes a High-Quality Autism Assessment?

Our ASC assessments include all of the following components recommended by NICE:

  • Comprehensive developmental history

We explore early developmental milestones, social communication patterns, and behavioural traits in detail, drawing on recognised diagnostic criteria throughout.

  • In-depth exploration of concerns

Observational and interactive assessment elements focus on autistic traits using validated diagnostic tools, ensuring findings are grounded in structured clinical evidence.

  • Direct assessment of communication & interaction

Diagnostic findings are reviewed by more than one clinician before conclusions are confirmed, safeguarding accuracy and reliability.

  • Medical and family background review

Physical health history is considered as part of the overall assessment, with GP referral arranged where clinically appropriate.

  • differential diagnoses consideration

We assess whether autism most accurately accounts for an individual's experiences, or whether other explanations warrant further exploration alongside or instead.

  • Screening for co-occurring conditions

Anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, and sensory processing differences are all screened for, as these frequently present alongside autism.

  • Strengths-based diagnostic reporting

Our reports identify strengths as well as challenges, and provide tailored recommendations that are practical and relevant to the individual's circumstances.

  • Detailed feedback session

Findings are explained clearly and in full, with time for questions and collaborative planning around what comes next.

We are proud to say

We meet all of the above criteria

Our autism assessments are designed to provide clarity, validation, and meaningful guidance for individuals and families.
