Hello,
I’m Dianne

Clinical
Psychologist and founder of sage psychology

I have been working with mental health since 2010 and specialise in working with high-achievers, high-functioning anxiety, and ADHD.

  • I am what I call a ‘why’ person, and spent most of my younger years trying to figure out why certain aspects of life left me feeling stuck.

My curiosity combined with my desire to maximise my own potential in life, led to a progression where psychology found me as a career, and it felt like a natural fit.

  • High-achievers

    High-functioning anxiety

    Self-doubt

    Perfectionism

    Burnout

    Imposter syndrome

    Relationship difficulties

    ADHD

  • I am easy going, down to earth, with a good sense of humour. My style in therapy is collaborative, engaging, and informal.

I value authenticity and thrive on a good problem to solve. I consider myself a ‘big picture’ thinker who is competent and efficient.

  • I use an integrative approach drawing on a range of theories, depending on what my client’s presenting problem is. These include Systemic Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Fundamentally I have two guiding beliefs: the therapeutic relationship is the most important vehicle for change, and the ‘why’ is often more important than the ‘what’ we do.

  • I qualified as a Psychologist from the University of South Africa in 2012. I worked for the South African Military service as an intern, and then for one of the largest medical hospitals in Southern Africa. I moved to the UK in 2015 and spent three years working for the NHS in a specialist service for medically unexplained symptoms and long term conditions.

In 2018 I left the NHS and have built a thriving private practice that I love working in. I now work predominantly with high-achievers who struggle with high-functioning anxiety, as well as ADHD in adults.

  • When I’m not working you will find me spending time with my three spirited children, walking my dog, educating myself about all things related to health and mental health, or honing my creative skills.

Hello,
I’m Lindsay

I work with high achieving adults who struggle with anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, and ADHD. I have specialist training in Relationship Therapy and Brain Based therapy.

  • After qualifying as a psychologist in 2010, I was fortunate enough to get experience in a range of settings, from hospitals to couples therapy, student support and employee wellness. I’ve always loved learning, and have completed additional training which allows me to offer broad yet bespoke intervention to my clients.

  • I am warm, easy going, and curious. I work in a concrete, direct and collaborative way with my clients. The interventions I use are tailor-made to suit the needs of my clients and help them develop self-awareness, healthy emotional boundaries, and coping skills.

  • I work from a Person-Centred approach, drawing on Systems Theory, Interactional Pattern Analysis, Imago Relationship Therapy, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, Brain-Works Recursive Therapy (BWRT) and Brain-Based Therapy. My job is to understand the person as a system, the person in a system, and the system in context, in order to offer meaningful therapeutic work.

  • I earned my qualification from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2010 and completed my internship at McCord Hospital in Durban. Over the years, I've worked in various healthcare settings and have been in full-time private practice for the past eight years, initially focusing on couples therapy as a certified Imago Therapist. Currently, I specialize in helping adolescents and adults with relationship issues, trauma, grief, and anxiety, and I've recently developed an interest in Brain-Based Therapy, which emphasizes the autonomic nervous system and our experiences of connection and protection.

  • Along with fulfilling my role as a wife and mum to two children, I share a love of dogs, being in the outdoors, and connecting with nature.

I work with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, stress, self-esteem difficulties, general mental health, and challenges related to neurodiversity.

  • I’ve always been passionate about supporting others with overcoming challenges and improving their wellbeing, so Clinical Psychology was a natural career choice for me. Throughout my career, I’ve continued to be amazed by peoples resilience and ability to overcome adversity, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of this journey with my clients!

  • Children and adolescents

    Adults

Anxiety and mood disorders (e.g. OCD, worry, low mood, low self-esteem, and social anxiety)

    Neurodivergence (Autism and ADHD)

  • My clients tell me my style is warm, collaborative, and that I’m very easy to talk to.  I see my role as providing a safe and supportive environment where my clients can begin to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and learn new strategies to improve their emotional wellbeing and quality of life.

  • My approach is formulation driven, which means it is guided by my clients’ difficulties and experiences. I draw upon evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Systemic approaches, creating a bespoke and person-centred therapeutic approach.

  • I am a highly skilled HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with a wide range of clinical experience working in the NHS and in private healthcare settings. • As well as being a mum to two young children, I’m passionate about being outdoors and you’ll find me in the fells most weekends. I also love travelling with my family, particularly Asia, and exploring new cultures.

Hello,
I’m Jane

Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

With over 11 years of experience, I specialise in the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD in adults, and work with high achievers struggling with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and self esteem.

  • My route to psychology was indirect, but looking back, it was always a part of my life. My early occupation combined organisational psychology and journalism. I worked in the corporate world while maintaining personal and psychological values through volunteer work. On a bit of a wing and a prayer, I returned to full time studies as a ‘mature’ student and with a lot of hard work, qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013.

  • Adult ADHD (diagnosed and undiagnosed)

    High-achievers

    High-functioning anxiety

    Diagnostic Assessments for ADHD

  • My style alternates from being directive to supportive, depending on your needs. My aim is to create an environment which feels kind, compassionate, containing, engaging, validating and encouraging.

I openly encourage clients to be themselves, and guarantee that whichever self or selves they choose to bring will be met with warmth and unconditional acceptance. Equally, within professional boundaries, I pledge my own ‘realness’ in the process (which often brings its own moments of rebellion and humour).

  • I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness-based methods.

  • I gained my qualification at Rhodes University in South Africa (2013). I worked for a large Forensic Hospital and also in private practice. I moved to the UK in 2016 and have worked with children, young people and adults in various NHS, charity and private settings. I have worked with personality disorders, substance misuse disorders, trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions and psychosis. I have also provided expert psychological opinion to the family courts across the UK. For the last five years I have consulted with various charities and NHS trusts on neurodevelopmental (Autism and ADHD) assessments. I have a special interest in diagnosis and treatment of ADHD.

  • If the sun is shining, you’ll find me outdoors gardening, dog walking, climbing a mountain or swimming, whenever possible.

Hello,
I’m Alastair

Clinical Psychologist, CBT Therapist and Gender Specialist

I am particularly passionate in working with high-achievers, neurodiversity (Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD), and gender identity (LGBTQ+). I also do ASD and ADHD assessments.

  • I was drawn to psychology in school due to a natural curiosity about how we come to be who we are, how problems develop, and how to help people. This sparked a life-long interest in understanding our emotional worlds through the impact of experiences and life events on how we see ourselves and others, and how we interact with the world around us.

  • Older adolescents

    Adults

    High achievers

Anxiety and mood disorders (such as OCD, persistent worry, perfectionism, low self-esteem, social anxiety)

Individuals struggling with identity, fear of change, relationships

Diagnostic assessments for Autism and ADHD

    LGBTQ+ community

  • My therapeutic style is focused, open and collaborative. I put empathy first, working to build a clear picture of you, your life and how your difficulties work, whilst exploring what change looks like and what might be getting in the way of it. I believe in being flexible to meet your needs, while drawing on evidence-based theories relevant to you.

  • I integrate a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches depending on your context, difficulties and goals. I initially focus on building a shared, in-depth understanding of how your difficulties have developed, and what might be keeping them going. I use techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-focused Therapy (CFT) to understand and address any negative or self-limiting beliefs and behaviours, and to promote a more positive relationship with yourself and others. I also attend to aspects of identity and culture to consider how life experiences, the social world and beyond might have shaped how we perceive ourselves and others, which can sometimes contribute to difficulties.

  • I am a registered clinical psychologist with the HCPC, an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist with the BABCP, and a registered gender specialist. Trained at Oxford University, I have ten years of NHS experience in various mental health services, as well as in academia and charities. I've treated a wide range of mental health issues, from mild to severe, in settings including inpatient hospitals and community clinics, particularly supporting transgender and non-binary individuals. My expertise encompasses anxiety and mood disorders, identity issues, relationship challenges, and experience with Autism and ADHD. Recently, I have focused on supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, conducting research on topics such as identity exploration, gender transition, and the mental well-being of LGBTQ+ people in the face of stigma.

  • When I am not working, you will find me connecting with friends, or travelling and exploring new cultures.

Hello,
I’m Kelly

Counselling Psychologist and TRE Practitioner

I work with Neurodiversity (Autistic Spectrum Disorder and ADHD), trauma and anxiety, in children, adolescents and adults.I am additionally trained in brain-based therapies, and as a trauma release exercise (TRE) practitioner.

  • I fell in love with Psychology (and English) during my first year of university. This love of learning about the human mind continued for over a decade, with many segways for travel, corporate work, teaching/lecturing, and getting married. In 2013 I qualified and registered as a Counselling Psychologist and have since worked in both schools with young people, and in private practice with adults. Throughout my journey in this field, I have been in constant awe of people's ability to overcome their challenging circumstances and the bravery they find or forge to create a future of their choice. I feel privileged to walk alongside such journeys.

  • Children, adolescents  and adults

    Autism and ADHD

    Anxiety

     Dyslexia

    Central Auditory Processing Disorder

     Trauma.

  • I am down to earth, containing, with a few little quirks and good humour thrown in. I value honesty and integrity, both of which you will receive from me. I am passionate about empowering people to help themselves, discover their strengths, and be the author of their own stories.

  • I’m very flexible in my therapeutic approach, deciding on the best way forward with each client after adequate consultation. Despite being Psychodynamically trained, I have become more and more drawn to Somatic therapies taking into consideration the mind-body connection. Learning to regulate one's nervous system allows us to better relate with others and to access difficult emotions. Other modalities I use include Person-Centred Therapy, Brain Working Recursive Therapy (BWRT), Solution-Focussed Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE). I also enjoy using poetry and art with those who are open to it and games/play with younger children.

  • I qualified in South Africa is 2013, and have worked in a multitude of settings (hospitals, primary/high schools, private universities and private practice), predominantly with young peopl, as a qualified Psychologist, School Counselor, and teacher. My autistic son has been an incredible teacher and has provided me with the unique perspective of mom, teacher and psychologist. My additional training in Brain-based and Somatic interventions has been very useful in treating adults and children alike, especially those experiencing high levels of anxiety or trauma (a common concern for neurodivergent people living in a predominantly neurotypical world).

  • I am a wife, mom, and educator with a love of bright colours, quirky jewellery, yoga and creating art.

Hello,
I’m Jen

Clinical Psychologist

I work with high achieving adults, and have worked with the corporate industry. I understand the nuances of being a high achiever well. I also have a special interest in ADHD in adults.

  • I was inspired to become a psychologist following my own personal journey of receiving psychological therapy. This had a life-transforming impact on me, and the experience has given me an even deeper empathy for the brave and courageous decision it is for clients to take that first step in the direction of seeking support for their struggles. I continue to be energised by coming alongside clients and being a part of their life journey as they discover more about themselves through psychological therapy.

  • I have practiced as a Clinical Psychologist for sixteen years and am highly skilled at working with a range of difficulties. These include anxiety and mood problems, such as social anxiety, health anxiety, generalised anxiety, public speaking anxiety, phobias, panic, persistent worry, low mood and depression. I enjoy supporting people to build their self-esteem and overcome confidence issues. I support individuals experiencing occupational/entrepreneurial burnout and work-related stress, managing life and relationship transitions, and coping with physical health issues. I have also had a range of experience with ADHD, both in providing diagnostic assessments and ongoing support.

  • Clients often say I’m easy to talk to and warm and welcoming in style. They tell me I have a calm presence and feel uplifted and motivated after our conversations.

I enjoy simplifying complex ideas, and in recognition of this have been honoured to be named an ‘Outstanding Educator’ Finalist in the Quality in Care Awards. Over the years I have provided expert comment to the media including The Evening Standard, Daily Mail, Women's Health, Good Housekeeping and the HuffPost.

  • I have a doctoral degree and am a registered Clinical Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (PYL25253). I am trained in a range of evidence-based therapies and use an integrative approach drawing on the models of understanding that best suit you.  These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment based Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness and Schema-informed approaches. I like to work in a Solution-Focussed way.

My work with ADHD has been inspired by a personal interest of understanding my family experience of neurodivergence. I offer gold-standard adult ADHD assessments that fully comply with the guidelines provided by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). I enjoy offering a neuro-affirmative approach to receiving a diagnosis as an adult, and the journey of self-understanding and self-development this opens up.

  • I’m a Clinical Psychologist registered with the HCPC (PYL30006).  I qualified in 2013 after building experience in mental health settings since 2005.  Since qualifying, I have worked for the NHS in London in various secondary care services specialising in severe and/or complex mental health issues such as ‘psychosis’, bipolar disorder, trauma, severe depression or anxiety disorders, and ‘personality disorder’.  My NHS roles have included supervising, training, and managing a team, and as such I enjoy thinking about how people can develop and thrive in demanding environments.

  • I love to travel and explore new places and have been fortunate to combine both passions as an invited keynote speaker for leading pharmaceutical companies including Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly and AstraZeneca across Canada, USA, Europe, Dubai and Kuwait.

Outside of work, I’ve now retired my running shoes (having completed a half marathon and sprint triathlon) and prefer more gentle pursuits like walking by the sea, playing tennis and yoga.

Hello,
I’m Jackie

Clinical Psychologist

I work with high achieving adults who struggle with a range of difficulties. I am dual qualified as a Psychologist and a coach, as well as EMDR trained, and work with ADHD.

  • I am excited to be dual trained and work  as both a clinical psychologist and leadership/systems coach. This reflects my career journey to date working extensively with adult therapy clients, but also with leaders and the dynamic interface between the personal and professional. I have had a long career in the NHS, most recently as Chief Psychologist (Consultant Clinical Psychologist). My first degree was English Literature, which I think equipped me well to listen, and critically reflect, on the stories of others. I think this, combined with an evidence-based training and doctorate  in clinical psychology, has set me up well to enjoy the privilege of therapy and coaching work.

  • Adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout and perfectionism and the challenges of living with a long -term condition. I am also experienced in working with ADHD in adults.

As I have worked as a very senior leader, and am dual trained as a leadership/systems coach, my skill set is well suited to working with the dynamic and  interface where the professional meets the personal.

  • People tell me my style is warm and collaborative, and that I am particularly skilled in facilitating  a strong sense of psychological safety which allows people to thrive. I always work to high professional standards,   but am also pragmatic and enjoy humour as part of my work.

  • My significant experience as a consultant clinical psychologist, and trainer of both clinical psychologists and CBT therapists, means I am well placed to  draw on a range of evidence-based models. These include cognitive behavioural, schema, EMDR, brief psychodynamic approaches and systemic approaches.

  • I qualified in 1999 and have since gained a wide range of experiences in both the NHS and private practice, primarily working with adults, supervising other practitioners and leading services. My doctorate studies investigated burnout and vicarious trauma on health care workers and reflects a career long interest in trauma and wellbeing in the workplace, including supporting those who identify as experiencing high functioning anxiety and /or depression. I worked as a clinical and academic tutor, trainer, and examiner on both the Clinical Psychology doctorate and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy programmes at Salomons ( Christchurch University) and I always work to the highest professional standards and boundaries of both the clinical psychology and coaching professions. My role as Chief Psychologists included leading one of the highest performing NHS Talking Therapies services in the UK as well overseeing the staff wellbeing offer which was launched in response to COVID-19.

  • My kids are now all grown up so I enjoy newfound time to swim, play tennis and the violin in a local community orchestra.

Hello,
I’m Camilla

Clinical Psychologist

I work with adults who are high achievers and struggle with anxiety, relational difficulties, trauma, and health conditions. I also work with Autism and ADHD in adults.

  • My passion for psychology grew from both personal and professional experiences, which forged an interest in human behaviour, mental health, and the wider contexts and complex systems that influence us. I’ve always been intrigued by how identities develop, how/when challenges emerge, and how we navigate life its complexities. Over time, I realised that understanding these processes wasn’t just an intellectual interest, but something I wanted to explore in a way that could help others.

  • High achieving adults

    Relationship difficulties

    Identity-related difficulties

    Perfectionism, self-doubt, burnout

    Trauma and Anxiety

    Co-existing long-term physical health conditions

    Neurodivergence (autism and ADHD)

  • My therapeutic style is collaborative, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life and experiences. I see my role as empowering you with the skills and tools to create meaningful, lasting change. People often describe me as warm, down-to-earth, and grounded (with a sprinkle of humour to keep things real). My approach is anything but one- size-fits-all; I like to keep things flexible and creative, shaping the process around your needs, preferences, and goals. We’ll work together to build insight, resilience, and strategies, and help you move forward feeling more empowered, capable, and confident in yourself.

  • I firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship is key to the success of any therapeutic intervention. For this reason, I take a relational approach in my work, using the dynamic between us to explore the early patterns we all develop and how these patterns show up in your life today to influence your relationship with yourself and others. I’m particularly interested in how aspects of identity and culture shape how we see ourselves and the world around us, as well as the impact of societal pressures on personal difficulties.

I also draw on approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) to help soften self-critical voices and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to support you in staying grounded in your values so you can live a life that truly feels like yours.

  • I am a HCPC Registered Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience working in the field of adult psychology. During this time, I’ve worked across various NHS settings, including community services, acute hospitals, and specialist forensic environments, supporting individuals with difficulties ranging from mild to severe and complex. This has fostered a real interest in how our identity can develop and shift over time, and how that shapes our relationships with ourselves and others.

Alongside my clinical work, I’ve provided expert psychological opinions for family courts across the UK, which has been an important part of my practice. As an academic, I’m also proud to be part of the UK Group of Trainers in Clinical Psychology, where I get to help shape the future of the profession. I see this role as a real a privilege!

  • Fitness is a big part of my life. Whether it’s getting outdoors for a long hike with the dogs, competing in CrossFit events, or taking on Hyrox races, exercise is key for my mental and physical wellbeing. I spend much of my free time chasing the sun, travelling to explore new places and immerse myself in different cultures. I also treasure quality time with friends and family, sharing good food and creating memories together!

Hello,
I’m Stephanie

Counseling Psychologist & Phd Candidate

I specialise in neurodiversity, trauma and inner child work with adolescents and adults. If you recognise feelings of shame or guilt, feel like you have to be self-sufficient, or are driven by anxiety, we will work well together.

  • Although I initially thought I would become a journalist due to my passion for people’s stories, after attending a first-year psychology course I quickly realised Psychology was my calling. I truly love the work I do and feel blessed to do it.

  • Aged 16+

    Autism and ADHD

    Trauma

  • I would describe my style as empathetic, modest, warm, transparent and intuitive. I believe that psychology has something to offer everyone when it’s applied appropriately - it all starts with finding the right therapist.

  • I use an integrative approach, which means I draw on a number of theories to help me tailor therapy to meet your needs. These include CBT, Narrative Therapy, Trauma-informed Therapy, Progressive Muscle Relaxation and Mindfulness. I pride myself on working in an evidenced-based way, drawing on current research and best practice.

  • My experience includes Trauma and Neurodevelopmental Conditions (Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) across the lifespan. I have worked at Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) as well as several schools in Sutton. At Southwest London and St Georges I focused Autism and ADHD assessments and therapeutic interventions. I have done public inquiries and worked in the civil service, predominantly on the Truth project. I have also lectured and enjoy developing and implementing training. At present I'm doing a PhD at the University of Essex, with a focus on trauma.

  • Outside of my love for psychology, I enjoy spending time with my big family, travelling and meeting new people. I also find a lot of joy and peace in learning about, and creating art.

Hello,
I’m Doug

Counselor and student specialist

I specialise in working with people between the ages of 14 - 25, who are struggling with the demands of life, self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I also work with Autism and ADHD, offering structured guidance where needed

  • After experiencing the impactful role of counseling in my final year at school, I was determined to position myself in a role where I could offer help. After working with neurofeedback and in the corporate world, I progressed on to working with teens and young adults almost exclusively. This path has led to lifelong learning and opportunities and relationships I could never have imagined, if I’d stuck to the path of… pyrotechnics.

  • 14 - 25 year olds

    Autism and ADHD

    Trauma

    Anxiety

    Student Support

    Self esteem

    Depression

  • My therapeutic style is honest, supportive, and pragmatic. I integrate multiple philosophies and methodologies, tailoring my approach to each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. Recognizing that there is no one-size-fits-all solution to personal and interpersonal challenges, I collaborate with clients to foster growth, resilience, and meaningful change.

  • I draw predominantly from CBT-informed approaches, ecosystemic, and person centered principles. I believe that the mind-body connection is imperative, and incorporate TRE (Trauma and Tension Releasing Exercises) to support somatic healing. I believe that the starting point is always to deeply understand each client’s unique needs, experiences, and context.

  • Having registered in 2010, I have spent the last 15 years working in a variety of settings, from not-for-profit trauma centres and corporate settings to private practice and educational facilities. Much of my early work exposed me to the fascinating world of neurodiversity and sparked a lifelong interest in neurobiology and its role in our psychology. I have developed a passion for working with teens and young adults and take a special interest in the world of the neurodiverse.

  • When I’m not in a therapeutic setting, you’ll find me spending time with my wife and kids, cycling, working with my hands, educating and being educated, creating or fixing and spending time in ‘the outdoors’.
