AUTISM ASSESSMENTS Esher

We provide Gold-Standard Autism assessments in Esher

for children, adolescents, and adults. Our gold-standard ASC assessments follow NICE guidelines and provide accurate, evidence-based diagnoses accepted across the UK.

An autism diagnosis can provide valuable insight into lifelong patterns of communication, social interaction, and sensory experience. A thorough ASC assessment ensures clarity, validation, and access to the right support.

Why chOOSE our AUTISM assessmentS?

Our autism assessments are carried out by experienced clinicians using a careful and structured assessment process. We take time to understand each individual’s developmental history, current presentation, and strengths, ensuring a balanced and clinically sound outcome.

What Makes a High-Quality Autism Assessment?

At Sage Psychology, our ASC assessments incorporate all of the following components recommended by NICE:

  • Comprehensive developmental history

We explore early childhood development, behavioural traits, and communication patterns aligned with recognised diagnostic frameworks.

  • In-depth review of concerns

Through observation and structured assessment tools, we evaluate traits commonly associated with autism.

  • Direct communication & interaction assessment

Diagnostic decisions are reviewed by more than one clinician to ensure reliability.

  • Medical and family history review

Relevant physical health and family background information is considered, with GP referral if needed.

  • differential diagnoses considered

We assess whether autism best explains the individual’s profile or whether other conditions should be explored.

  • Screening for co-occurring conditions

Including ADHD, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, and emotional regulation differences.

  • Strengths-focused diagnostic reporting

Reports clearly outline strengths, challenges, and practical recommendations.

  • Comprehensive feedback session

We provide a detailed explanation of findings and discuss next steps in a supportive setting.

We are proud to say

We meet all of the above criteria

Our autism assessments in Esher meet NICE guidelines and are designed to provide reassurance, understanding, and clear pathways forward.

We offer a one-hour pre-assessment consultation to explore your overall mental health and determine whether a full autism assessment is appropriate for you. If we feel an autism assessment is not the most suitable next step, we will recommend an alternative—such as a different type of assessment or a tailored therapy approach.
