Gold-Standard ADHD assessments for children and adolescents in Epsom, Wimbledon, and online.
Helping your child thrive, not just survive.
The adhd Child
As a parent, you can see your child’s potential, but the daily struggle can leave you feeling helpless. We know the struggle.
ADHD looks different in every child. For some, it’s the daily struggle with impulsivity and focus; for others, it’s a "mask" that held firm through primary school but begins to crack under the pressure of GCSEs. If your child is insightful yet overwhelmed, or bright yet "not reaching their potential," we are here to help you find the answers and the support they deserve.
Keeping assessments simple and accessible
We know how overwhelming it is to look for an ADHD assessment. We have designed our process to be as clear and supportive as possible, so you can follow one simple step at a time.
How does it work?
Step 1
Book a screening
This is a dedicated 1-hour session to look at your child’s history and current challenges. We’ll determine if an ADHD assessment is the right path, or if another direction would serve you better. If your child is over 16 years old, they would attend this appointment with you. If they are younger, they do not need to attend this appointment, but will attend the next appointment.
Step 2
The comprehensive assessment
Once we’ve confirmed the pathway, we’ll guide you through the paperwork and then meet for a further 2 hour clinical interview. We would like both you and your child to be available during this appointment. We take a deep-dive into your child’s story, their struggles, and their unique strengths. The appointment can be in person or online.
Step 3
Your results and roadmap
Three to four weeks after your assessment, we’ll meet for a feedback session. You’ll receive a comprehensive report that is NICE-compliant and widely accepted. Our reports provide more than a diagnosis. We give you a tailored roadmap with clear recommendations for parents, the young person and the school to implement. If your child is diagnosed, they will be eligible for exam concessions.
What a Gold-Standard Assessment looks like
If we were looking for a top-quality assessment for one of our family members, we would look for these eight clinical essentials:
a 3-hour deep dive
Anything less than this is not enough to reach a thorough, evidence based diagnosis.
A Holistic View
We look beyond ADHD to see the whole picture of your mental health, ensuring nothing else being missed.
A team approach
Although a team approach is not required for ADHD assessments, we like to have regular peer reviews within our team, to increase the rigor of our results.
Evidence based tools
We use "Gold-Standard" validated questionnaires to ensure our findings are backed by data
NICE-guideline compliant
This is the "North Star" for UK healthcare, ensuring your report meets the standards of the NHS.
Multiple Perspectives
We don’t just rely on your memory; where possible, we collect information from other sources to see how you function in different environments.
Offers a feedback session
We don’t just email you a report. We sit down with you to explain the "why" behind your results and help you plan your next steps as part of your roadmap.
The expertise rule
With over 10 years of experience, you are seen as an expert, rather than a generalist.
We are proud to say
we meet all of the above criteria
In all of our assessments, we follow the guidelines set out by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Our Gold-Standard assessments ADHD assessments in Wimbledon and Epsom are rigorous, regulated, ethical, and widely accepted by the NHS and across the UK.
We also support individuals seeking ADHD assessments from nearby areas including Kingston-upon-Thames, Morden, Mitcham, Roehampton, Putney, Sutton, Esher, Chessington, Banstead, and Leatherhead.
What will it cost?
Online Assessment £1195
In person Assessment £1295
This is split into 2 payments. The first appointment is £300, and includes an hour long appointment. If you don’t go ahead with an assessment, we give you a letter with advice. If you do, this fee is deductible against the final amount.
The adhd Child
As a parent, you can see your child’s potential, but the daily struggle can leave you feeling helpless. We know the struggle.
For some kids, the difficulties of ADHD emerge quite clearly from early on. The child who can’t focus on some days, but hyper-focuses for hours on others. The child who can be surprisingly insightful, and then totally unreasonable when they’re triggered. The child who can’t get themselves ready without being micromanaged every morning, or can’t manage time. Some of these children can be impulsive and always moving.
For other kids, they manage to mask the difficulties well enough that they hold it together through primary school. It is only at Secondary school, when the expectation for independence goes up, that the cracks start to show. We often see adolescents present with anxiety first before we spot the signs of ADHD. The build up to GCSEs is when the wheels start to come off, and these kids start to drown. That is because primary school has enough structure and support for them to cope. When this structure is removed at Secondary school, ADHD starts to emerge.
As a parent, you can see your child’s brilliance, but you also see their daily struggle. Whether it’s the 'morning battle' to get ready, the feedback from school about 'not reaching their potential,' or the emotional meltdowns that leave you both exhausted—you know they need a different kind of support. We’re here to help you find the answers.

Questions?
These are the most common ones
If you have any other questions and want to chat before going ahead, please send us an email with your number and we will arrange a call back.
-
We have a team dedicated to assessments, and we like to keep things as efficient as possible. This allows us to have very short waitlists, and we can usually get you booked in within a month of inquiry.
-
Our assessments follow NICE guidelines, the same standards used by the NHS. We cover all of the areas required by the NHS, and check their boxes. However, each NHS location has different processes, and some trusts are not accepting private diagnoses at all due to pressure on their services. It depends entirely on your local service. Our advice is that you call your GP before you start a private asssessment, and ask them if they accept shared care for ADHD. If they do, ask them if they have any specific terms, as this will help us make sure we signpost you to the best prescriber if you want to access medication. If they do not accept shared care, your GP will not manage your medication unless you go for an assessment through the NHS.
-
If you are not diagnosed with ADHD, we spend our time in the assessment understanding your challenges and strengths in great detail. We will give you a reason that better explains your symptoms if it is not ADHD, and talk to you about what you can do to find the appropriate support.
-
Our assessment is for diagnostic purposes, and does not include a prescription of medication. If you are diagnosed and want to pursue medication, we have close links with prescribers, and we will refer you to one of our partners who can start the process of titration with you. This is normally a 12 week process and includes reviewing your response and side effects every 3-4 weeks before you settle on the rigth dose. Once you are settled, if your GP accepts shared care, you can be discharged to their care and they can manage your prescriptions. The cost for this ranges from around £750 if you use a nurse prescriber to around £1500 if you see a Psychiatrist. It will depend on your case as well as what your GP accepts in shared care that will determine which provider is better.
-
If your child is diagnosed with ADHD, they will qualify for concessions during exams. We will assess what would be most helpful, but for ADHD, the most common ones would be 25% extra time on exams, rest breaks, and permission to sit exams in a quiet room. If you are planning on applying for concessions for GCSE or A-level exams, please check the deadline for applying with your child’s school and let us know if we are working to a timeframe.

It is very common that girls and high achievers with ADHD are top performers, both in school and beyond. This is because ADHD presents differently in girls and in high achievers, where intelligence and high masking strategies hide some of the underlying difficulties. What we tend to see in high performing children with ADHD is hyperfocus in some areas and difficulties in others, inconsistencies in performance, last minute cramming, emotional fallout (anxiety is common), and unmet potential in certain areas.
-
Our reports are NICE-compliant and delivered by HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists. This means that they carry the weight needed to be approved by external organisations. Most schools are happy to work wihto our recommendations, but it is always advisable to check with them first whether they have any specific terms and conditions.
ADHD in High-achievers and women/girls
Some of the most capable, high achieving individuals have ADHD. This is because ADHD brains are fast, and brilliant when hyper focus kicks in.
ADHD in high achievers (and girls/ women) is often missed, because masking and compensatory strategies are so effective.
What we are looking for in high achievers is the hidden cost to looking like you have it all together on the surface. This often looks like unseen difficulties behind the scenes in relationships or mental health, or cyclical burnout.
Our ADHD assessments in Wimbledon, Epsom and online are tailored for high achievers, and we know how to spot the hidden signs of executive dysfunction.
Post-Diagnostic Support
Following a diagnosis of ADHD, you may want to work with ONE OF our psychologists
in London, Wimbledon, Epsom or online, who understands the nuances of ADHD well.
Getting a diagnosis of ADHD in adulthood is a big process and there is a lot to work through. Our Psychologists are skilled in helping you understand what a diagnosis means, and how to make changes in your life to support your needs.
The support process often involved strategies for your challenges and leveraging your strengths, and well as reshaping your self-esteem and building confidence.
Unsure about whether to have an assessment?
We have put together an evidence-based ADHD screener for adults, that will tell you whether you are over the threshold for ADHD.
